Planet DDS Makes the 2019 Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest-Growing Companies

Planet DDS joins 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the nation on Inc. Magazine’s annual ranking for the second time.

Planet DDS, the nation’s leading provider of cloud-based enterprise dental practice management software, was recently designated as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies by Inc. Magazine for the second time in three years.

The Inc. 5000 is a long-running, annual ranking that evaluates a company’s three-year growth trajectory compared to other privately-held companies. Planet DDS made the Inc. 5000 in 2017; even more rapid recent growth helped secure the software provider a spot on the 2019 list.

“We’re very excited to be ranked in the Inc. 5000 for the second time. More and more large dental organization are switching to Denticon because of our unique multi-location capabilities. We’ve been listening to and working closely with our clients to develop game-changing software and I couldn’t be prouder of our team here,” noted Chae Kim, Planet DDS VP Technology.

The organizations included in the 2019 Inc. 5000 achieved three-year average growth of 454 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $237.7 billion in 2018.

“The companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have followed so many different paths to success,” says Inc. Editor in Chief, James Ledbetter. “There’s no single course you can follow or investment you can take that will guarantee this kind of spectacular growth. But what they have in common is persistence and seizing opportunities.”

Planet DDS also recently announced its partnership with Level Equity to secure further growth capital.

“Level Equity’s investment caps a multi-year period of rapid expansion for Planet DDS and Denticon, our core software offering. And our inclusion on the 2019 Inc. 5000 shows just how much growth we’ve achieved,” noted Eric Giesecke, Planet DDS CEO. “We’re excited to leverage our new partnership to reach even more dental organizations and achieve even faster growth in years ahead.”

Planet DDS’ Denticon cloud-based practice management software is the only proven, time-tested software offering that was built from the ground up for multi-location groups in the cloud. Denticon has the largest footprint among emerging and established dental groups of any cloud software provider, allowing clients to break free from the constraints of desktop software with a comprehensive solution that includes the tools needed to standardize, centralize, and grow.
